Dear friends!
We are pleased to present you our Gelion software. Its main purpose—processing of multispectral and hyperspectral images obtained during proximal sensing of various objects.
The main outcome of using Gelion is helpful information about the biochemical composition and physiological condition of living objects, primarily plants, inferred from their light reflection spectra.
Currently, Gelion is a test version, the functionality of which is still very limited compared to full-blown systems for processing remote sensing data. This is our deliberate choice, because what we are presenting you now is not a finished product, but a conceptual version created under the motto "everything is at hand".
We invite users to an open discussion of the present and future functionality of the program, to the selection of functions and modules demanded by different groups of researchers, as well as to a discussion on how to implement these functions in Gelion in the best way.
In short, our priority is to provide Gelion with sufficient functionality in the near future, but to remain true to the motto "everything is at hand". We shall do our best to keep our development from mutating into a bulky "monster program" flabbergasting users with ample menus, buttons, parameters, which are difficult for an experienced user to understand, not to mention beginners.
We invite you to cooperate with us -- the author team of Gelion and wish you pleasant time of working with the program!
WELCOME ONBOARD AND ENJOY!
